Hello everyone we have finally gotten to work on the groups first scene. It will be from Digimon: Tamers
RyukJoe has been working on the sfx and music for the scene so while I continue with the script we're opening auditions!

Now here's how to audition
Please post it as a YouTube video so that everyone not just us can see it. Then post the link here in this thread so we know where to look.

Since RuykJoe and I will both be auditioning as well we have decided that in these cases the group will vote on who they believe should have the part among everyone. Then we will count the votes and cast the roles, until we come up with a better system this is how it'll be done when we both audition as well. We will consider your roles as well at some points so please do not vote for yourself.

You won't have to keep your audition video up forever but we ask that you don't take it down until the deadline so we can continue to look and listen to your voice. Right now our deadline is planned for the end of March.

Here are the open roles and lines:

Renamon: (States)I am a digimon who digivolves with the help of his Partner.
(Digivolution) Renamon digivolves to ....
(Attack) Diamond Storm!
(We're looking for: Male/Female - Medium, Medium Low Voice)

Kyubimon: (Digivolution) Kyubimon digivolves to ...
(Attack) Fire Dragon!
(Attack) Ninetail-Flame!
(We're looking for: Male/Female - Medium, Medium Low Voice)

Taomon: (States)How do you know, and who's the one to decide? Don't tell me it's your "great" God.
(Attack) Card's of Destiny!
(Attack) Symbol of Light!
(We're looking for: Male - Medium Low, Low Voice)

Sagiramon: (Stunned) Ah Kyubimon, you wonderful creature....
(Angry) Who's against our God, will be punished, even if it's you!
(Explaines) Argh, Renamon, you should join us and obey our great God!
(We're looking for: Male - Medium Low, Low Voice)

Henry: (Uses the Digivice) Digi-Modify! Digivolution Activate!
(Read the Digivice) Taomon, Wizard Digimon. Level:Ultimate, Type: Data, Attack: Card's of Destiny.
(Discusses) Gargomon, do you think you can still digivolve?
(We're looking for: Male - Medium High, Medium, Medium Low Voice)

Rika: (Uses the Digivice) Digi-Modify! Digivolution Activate!
(Uses the Digivice) Digi-Modify! Matrix Evolution Activate!
(Wonders) What a Blue Card? (Calls out) We can digivolve!
(We're looking for: Female - Medium High, Medium)

Takato: (Uses the Digivice) Digi-Modify! Digivolution Activate!
(Slashes another Card) Digi-Modify, Highspeed Plug-In "D"!
(Calls out) Gargomon, Let's help them!
(We're looking for: Male - Medium, Medium Low Voice)

Guilmon/Growlmon: (Digivolution) Guilmon digivolves to .... Growlmon!
(Attacks) Exhaust Flame!
(Exhausted) Sorry I can't ..Takato....
(We're looking for: Male - Medium High, Medium Voice)

Terriermon/Gargomon: (Digivolution) Terriermon digivolves to ... Gargomon!
(Attack) Gargo-Shot!
(Exhausted) I don't know, I don't have much energy left ....
(We're looking for: Male/Female - High, Medium High, Medium, Voice)

Calumon: (He often makes a Sound like a Pokémon) Calu, Calu.
(Terrified) I'm afraid, Calu ....
(Happy) We did it, Calu!
(We're looking for: Female - High Voice)

This is my first audition, you can find it here

Now this is how you vote: for Example, when I post an Audition and you like a character-demo, you simply write this: "RuykJoe/Character/+1" That way a point for the voted character will be added to my chart. At the End of March the person with the most points for "his" character will get the part. This is how it will work. You'll simply write your opinion down below and it will be updated by me in the Table:

NOTE: You can only vote once for a voice actor per character. That means you can give a voice actor 3x+1, but for 3 different characters + A table will be added soon.

And if you do, could you show how to get that echo/reverb effect you have? I've been trying to put that effect in the way I Like it but I can't seem to ever get it right. Thanks.

Yes I'm using Audacity

For the part to be "echoed" you need to either choose the "echo" or "delay" function.
Just choose the part with your mouse you want to be echoed [So it's marked Blue]. Then go to "Effects" -> "Delay" -> then you just choose what Delay level per Echo you would like to have. I usually set it to -10,6 / -12,6 for attacks/transformations, epic stuff etc .... also for thoughts. If you, however, want a slight echo for your songs setting the delay to 12,6 or less might ruin it. For songs the perfect set is -17,7 and higher. After you have chosen your Delay level, you just press "OK" and there you go. Hope this helped

Oh and with potats' question in mind, wouldn't it be great if we can somehow post some tutorials on using Audacity or voice acting in general? Just so newbies (like me) can just hop on over there and see some effects/warm ups/etc. we can use to somehow help us along the way?

Finally did it!! The video for my audition is riiiiiight here!

First off, sorry about the audio quality, as I've said before, my webcam mic is all I've got for the time being. Same with the video editing. I just threw it together in like half an hour cuz I wanted to get it to you guys quickly. xD Also, I'm pretty sure I messed up on the tone and emotion behind some of the lines, but whatever haha. I did the best I could. Hope you guys like it! And I'm open to constructive criticism, brutal or otherwise! xD
